Plumbing Invoices & Quotes — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tether Technologies Pty Ltd (“Tether”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Plumbing Invoices & Quotes mobile application (“Plumbing Invoices & Quotes” or the “App”).

The short version: we do not collect, store, or process your data on our servers. All job, customer, quote, and invoice data is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Plumbing Invoices & Quotes App. It does not apply to:

  • any websites or services we may operate separately from the App, or
  • any third-party services you use in connection with the App (for example, your email provider or cloud backup service).

2. Data we do not collect

Plumbing Invoices & Quotes is designed to work entirely on your device. When you use the App:

  • We do not create an online account for you.
  • We do not collect or store your customer details, job information, quotes, or invoices on our servers.
  • We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or tracking identifiers.
  • We do not share or sell any personal information to third parties.

Because everything stays on your device, we generally have no access to the information you create in the App.

3. Information stored on your device

The App allows you to create and manage plumbing-related information, which may include:

  • Customer names, addresses, phone numbers and other contact details
  • Job details, work descriptions and notes
  • Quotes, invoices, line items and pricing information
  • Optional attachments such as photos or documents related to a job

All of this information is stored locally on your device's storage (for example, within the app sandbox). We do not automatically transmit this data to any server controlled by us.

If you uninstall the App or erase your device without backing up, this data may be permanently lost. We cannot restore it for you because we never receive it.

4. Backups and third-party storage

Depending on your device settings, your operating system or mobile platform provider (for example, Apple or Google) may back up the App and its local data to a cloud backup service (such as iCloud or Google Drive).

These backups are managed by your device vendor and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, access, or manage these backups.

If you export quotes or invoices (for example, as a PDF or email) and send them using an external service, that information will be handled by your chosen email provider, messaging app, or file storage provider, not by us.

5. Permissions used by the App

The App may ask for certain device permissions to function correctly. For example:

  • Storage / Files: to save and read your invoices, quotes, and related data on your device.
  • Photos / Camera (if used): to attach job photos to quotes or invoices.
  • Email / Sharing: to open your email app or share sheet when you choose to send a quote or invoice to a customer.

These permissions are used only to provide the requested functionality on your device. Permission settings can usually be changed at any time in your device's system settings.

6. Children's privacy

The App is designed for use by tradespeople and businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because we do not operate user accounts or remote storage for the App, we generally have no way to identify individual users, including children.

7. Data security

Because your data is stored locally, the security of that data primarily depends on how you secure your device. We recommend that you:

  • Enable a device passcode, biometric lock, or similar security feature.
  • Keep your operating system and apps up to date.
  • Be careful when exporting or sharing invoices and quotes with others.

We implement reasonable safeguards in the design of the App, but no mobile device or software can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce optional cloud features or other changes to how the App works. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may notify you within the App where appropriate.

If we ever introduce features that involve storing your data on our servers, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, seek your consent before activating those features.
